Interview with TLR

TLR, The Last Resort recently coming 2nd at the I32 Lan Event COD4 hosted by Mulitplayer were kind enough to answer a few questions for an interview with XDR.

Clan name and real name?

My game handle is Munchies, and my real name is Ben Jamieson

Clan?

Clan name is TLR “The Last Resort”

Your Age?

I will be 26 in a few days, so don’t forget to send me cookies!

Website address?

www.tlr-clan.co.uk (best viewed in Firefox)

How long has your clan been in the scene for, and how did it start?

Hmm well TLR has been about for quite some years. It was started as a community team, with predominantly low-mid skilled members who played for fun. After some time Michael “Chef” Robinson decided to take TLR to a higher level, and since then TLR has been a more skilled MGC, only taking on top squads. Chef shifted the focus from a fun orientated group into a more professional organisation and set the sights on the best online and offline events. Over the past 2 years the clan has gone from strength to strength. We are know well known in CSS, CoD4, ET and other games.

Where did your clan name originate from?

I have no idea. I was involved managing other MGCs when TLR was born, so I guess you would have to ask Chef

What made you want to join?

Well I was manager of Auxilia which ran into trouble, and went inactive as an organisation. I had no intention of managing more clans, and so I turned down any offers that came my way, except for a pm from Chef who somehow managed to talk me into moving to TLR as general manager and helping move things forward for the teams.

How many members does your clan have?

Hmm Im not sure. We have several squads, some of which of course have backup players. At the moment I think TLR has active squads in about 5 games, plus a management team, so it’s a lot of players.

What level of skill would you rate your clan?

High Skill!!!

Your favourite FPS?

My personal favourite is Enemy Territory because of the team dynamics that game offers. Also the amazing community that game has supported over the years. Of course I am also a fan of CSS and CoD4. I am not a fan of ETQW or TF2, but that’s just my personal preference.

Thankyou TLR and in particular Munchies for taking the time to complete the above. We hope to continue Interviewing different clans in the online gaming world. If you have any questions you would like us to ask please visit our forum and post there. We will do our best to get an answer.

2008

Well people 2008 is upon us,

The ride has been somewhat up and down so far.

However, .:XDR:. Gaming gears up to becoming more competitive in the New Year of 2008, by entering the ED (enemy Down League). This will give us good grounds to establish our capability, and commitment to the future of the clan.

2007 has brought many changes to the goup, and has hit some low points in doing so but is now bouncing back due to its existing members commitment and looks forward to the year ahead.

From .:XDR:. We would like to wish you all a Happy New years eve, and New year.
